What Customers Say About Creative MuVo V100 2 GB MP3 Player (White):

Once was a toilet, once a puddle, and once a jug of homemade beer. You know how it goes: you're lucky to get a year out of these cheaper mp3s. And yes, it has folders pre-made, but once again, not a huge issue. Thanks to those who shared that sweet tip.Yes, it transfers slowly.but so what. There is not, to my knowledge. It is amazingly--almost astoundingly--durable. I know Beethoven loves me listening to the 6th and 9th on 14,000 foot peaks.

Is that so hard. And finally: it's cheap. And thank the Lard I read reviews here before installing the software: I was advised to just drag and drop and not use the software, and what great advice. Never bugs me. But this little guy is well over two years old and still runs perfectly. And check this out: it still runs perfectly after being dropped into water three times. No running out of power in the middle of a run and being musicless; just take a spare battery.I bought this unit mainly for my week-long wilderness hikes in the Rockies, Sierra, etc. Many, many heavenly days. Perfect. A is rock and funk, B is Bill Evans, and C is classical and opera.

But if you're like most of us and do it only once in a while, no probs. LOVE this baby.I have bought a bunch of mp3 players from just about every manufacturer, and all told I consider this the best of the bunch. The Muvo has performed perfectly in that situation. Skip the software.

That's also great because it's not a big deal to lose a cheap player. Let's see an ipod do that.Another great feature is the built-in usb plug. Each time it stopped working, but I took it apart, took the battery out, and left it in the sun for a day. A better player for working out I have yet to find.I see that no one here is selling these new here any more, but look around online and you'll find one, no doubt.

Each time it started back up, good as new. Ain't no computers with usb for recharging up in the high country. If you transfer files all the time, this might not be the player for you. No proprietary junk that dies fast and costs more than the player to replace. I've bought four of these, one for me and three for friends, all of whom love them and still use them, and never paid more than forty for each. No cords needed, just plug it into your computer.

Well worth the time.I hope my Muvo just keeps on trucking, and it looks like it might. Truly amazing that we can waltz around the planet with sound this decent in a package this small. The number one reason is that it takes a solitary good old tiny AAA battery. 'Twas meant to be.I wear my Koss PortaPros with this and it sounds really, really good for its size. Wonderfully, I keep misplacing my Muvo and it keeps finding me again. Are we spoiled now or what.

For bang for the buck, it's one of the best products I've ever found. Wow, SUCH a long wait. If there was another player this small with a normal battery that sounded this good, I'd have it. Bliss.I run with this almost daily, and it never skips. I've never had an issue, and have stuck to that advice with all of my other mp3 players, and it always works. You can get a full cd on here in 128 kbps in about two minutes.

And how many sunny afternoons have I lazed away beside alpine lakes listening to Bill Evans' Affinity, Undercurrent, and Moonbeams. Pair it with PortaPros and you've got a truly awesome little world of sound in your palm.Thank you, Muvo engineers, for making an excellent product for the price. Now how's about a 4 or 8 gb version in the same package.

I personally didn't like the set up and I thought it had small storage space, but it did have a usb connection already on it which was convenient. I have an ipod now and like it better, but the muvo got the job done for a small time.

Well after following all the instructions for installing the software and connecting the player we tried to put some music on it and it flipped out - started connecting/disconnecting to the usb nonstop. We bought this MP3 player for my mother as a birthday gift because she's been using my smaller capacity older MuVo for a few months. We were so excited to see her getting into "gadgets" so we sprang for what we thought would be a nice upgrade. Nothing we could do after 3 support sessions with Creative could make it work so we have returned it. Caveat emptor - this is one very sour lemon.

The most useful feature of this player is the AAA battery. Every time I open the battery compartment to replace the battery, I feel the the door is going to fail. I am a pretty forgetful person and having a bunch of AAA batteries is more convenient for me than remember to put things on charge through a computer every night. I bought this for $49.99 Sep 2007.

I have had this player for almost 1.5 years. Logan's review. Same feeling when I open it up for a thumb drive usage. This also helps me to record various things like classes and technical conversations without much ado.4.

this seems strange to me. But that has not happened.2. The mechanical construction could be a bit better. Currently it is flimsy.3. I agree completely with D.

There is no WAV playing option as far as I can remember in the 'regular' folders. This option is available only in the 'recorded tracks' folder. Why would the player recognize the WAV files only if it is in a particular folder. It would make sense if it did not recognize at all or recognized in all folders.5. This is a perfect piece for that. Some things I would like to add :1. The current price is $99.99.

I am a composer and it is important for me to have my humming recorded whenever and wherever I get inspired. It offers low quality voice recording which means the file size is very small - that completely suits my purpose since I need only the rough sketches to be recorded as WAV and not clutter the disk space with stupid mp3 encodings which take up a lot of space. I can't understand how the price can get doubled when all the electronics prices are supposed to fall.6. It is a waste of computer resources as well.

sound is very good, i really like this one. i paid $35 + $5 shipping at amazon. i see amazon has it for $124 and $29 shipping (are they nuts).
